The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We were in Freeport for an evening wedding and they extended our checkout time with no additional charge. We didn't have to get ready in the morning for the wedding. That made our day!

Noisy, doors slam, too many kids.

Did not like the fact that the coffee pot was in the bathroom. Double bed is too small for 2 people, room had no soap dishes, clock. toilet paper holder was hard to reach. Had a great selection of hot breakfast items.

Their whirlpool suite is not that great.

Was hoping our room had an actual whirlpool in it, not just in the bathroom tub. The staff was very friendly and the managers went out of their way to extend a hello. My wireless laptop lost it's wireless ability. The hotel staff furnished me with an alternative solution that worked out very satisfactorily.

My room was for non-smoking, however there were smoking rooms on the same floor, which became overwhelmingly tainted.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Freeport, IL. The staff was very motivated to please it's guests and very helpful in many ways. They suggested some very good restaurants where I could dine. I especially appreciated the free local maps and newspaper. My only complaint was that the smoking rooms were on the same floor and the stench of nicotine could be smelled just outside the door to my room. ...read more
